Leftovers from Christmas and some new stuff...

Christmas and New Year has come and gone and now it is already 2018. Well, Christmas is not really gone there is still Twelfth Day of Christmas left of course. So decorations are still up and holidays not quite over yet.

Some of these decorations for Christmas is Amaryllis and there are some still flowering on the windowsill. Unfortunately, I did not take very good pictures of them. But I was very happy this autumn I manage to make all but 2 from last year flower this year!

This is how I did it. I put them in the greenhouse early spring 2017 and then out in the garden over summer where I forgot about them. Some flowered already during summer. When autumn came the bulbs were very big and good looking. I then put them in the indoor storage room. It is a bit colder than normal indoor but not a lot. In late November I was surprised to find buds on almost all of them. I then replanted them and put them on windowsill.

The new stuff then? Well, I am organising all my seeds in a Access (home made) simple database. Finally! I think this will give us better overview over our seeds.
